Only a few days left until the international Exhibition for Waste-Management, Recycling, Renewable Energy and Environmental Technology WasteTech-2013 starts.

How to get there:

IEC "Crocus Expo" now has the subway station on its territory called "Myakinino". Getting there by Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya Line of Moscow Rapid Transit System (from subway station "Ploshad Revolyutsii" or "Arbatskaya", Line 3, dark blue color on the subway scheme) will take you 35-40 minutes.

ISWA Conference Tentative Programme has been set up.

Russian Ministry of natural resources and environment announced 6.7 bln EUR federal environmental protection program budget. This programme focuses on pollution reduction, improvement in environmental monitoring, research projects and biodiversity enhancement.

Russian Technologies, a state corporation headed by Kremlin-connected technocrat Sergei Chemezov, has announced plans to create a national waste-recycling company with assets whose 2011 turnover is estimated at $1.8 billion.

Moscow-owned enterprise offering free collection of electronic waste as a way to raise awareness to the matter, ecologists suggest making this promotion of proper electronic waste handling a constant theme instead of an annual event. But actually, the way the waste management company is handling it is novel as well, especially in Russia.
